Websites will alert customer in case his IP is infected in order to run an antivirus scan before going ahead with the transaction.
ISPs & Mobile Operators
Bandwidth Reduction can be achieved by throttling unusual internet usage coming from the IP addresses that match the one in the infected list. Putting those IPs in a quarantine like zone will make them less likely used by malware writers and with that an outbreak can be minimized within same network.
ISPs will limit their customers’ computers to participate in DDOS attacks or infect each other hence saving internet capacity. Mobile operators can use the same technique to reduce bandwidth on their mobile data networks which are limited by frequency between towers and users.
